Custom Pennant Banners
Custom pennant banners are a classic way to celebrate a win, honor a special person, or mark a milestone — from Player of the Week and Homecoming court to birthdays, retirements and grand openings. Choose durable 18 oz vinyl for indoor or outdoor use, or soft 7 oz fabric for an indoor, photo-quality finish, and print your design in full color on one or both sides.
Helpful Resources
Choose Your Pennant Banner Material
All pennant banners are printed using industrial CMYK, eco-friendly UV-solvent or dye-sublimation inks depending on material, for sharp, vibrant color.
Premium Vinyl (18 oz)
Heavy, high-denier matte vinyl built for durability. Waterproof and fade-resistant, this is the material to choose if your pennant banner will spend any time outdoors.
Matte Fabric (7 oz)
A lightweight, wrinkle-resistant polyester with a soft matte finish, dye-sublimation printed for rich, photo-quality color. Best suited to indoor display.
Pennant Banner Sizes & Sides
Available in 1.5x2, 1.5x3, 2x3, 2x4, 2x6, 3x4, 3x5, 3x6, 4x5, 4x6 and 4x8 sizes. Choose Single-Sided printing for banners viewed from one direction, or Double-Sided for banners that will hang where both sides show, like doorways or overhead displays.
Sizing tolerance: finished dimensions may vary by up to 1 inch on small format pennant banners.
Finishing Options
- Top Hemming & Grommets — A reinforced top hem with metal grommets for hanging, included at no extra charge. Grommets are placed 0.5" from the edge on vinyl, or 1.5" from the cut line on fabric.
- Top Pole Pocket — A sewn or heat-welded pocket along the top edge, sized to slide over a pole or dowel for a clean, grommet-free hang.
- None — Raw cut edge, no finishing.
Safe zone: keep all important artwork, text, and logos at least 1.75" inside the edge on vinyl pennant banners, or 2" on fabric pennant banners, so nothing is covered by the grommets.

Download one from our artwork templates page linked above; we offer sized, print-ready templates with bleed and layout guides built in for every product we sell. Once you order, our design team reviews your artwork and sends a digital proof, typically within 24 hours, with unlimited revisions before anything goes to print. You can also design online using our built-in customizer, or hire one of our designers if you'd rather we build it for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Should I choose vinyl or fabric for my pennant banner?
- Choose 18 oz vinyl if your pennant banner will be displayed outdoors or handled roughly; choose 7 oz fabric for indoor use where a lightweight, soft-finish, photo-quality print is the priority.
- Can I print on both sides of a pennant banner?
- Yes — Double-Sided printing is available for banners that will be seen from both directions, like a hanging overhead pennant or one displayed in a doorway.
- What's the difference between Top Pole Pocket and Top Hemming & Grommets?
- A pole pocket is a sewn or welded sleeve along the top edge for sliding onto a pole or dowel, giving a clean look with no visible hardware. Top Hemming & Grommets adds metal grommets along a reinforced top hem, which is better if you're hanging with rope, zip ties or S-hooks.
- What sizes are pennant banners available in?
- From 1.5x2 up to 4x8, in several increments in between — see the size options above for the full list.
- How accurate is the finished size of my pennant banner?
- Finished dimensions may vary by up to 1 inch on these small-format banners.
