Choose Your Vinyl Banner Material
All of our vinyl banner materials are printed using industrial CMYK, eco-friendly UV-solvent inks, which cure fast under UV light for sharp, true-to-life color and lifelike photographic resolution.
Standard Vinyl (13 oz)
13 ounces is an industry standard for banner material, and our 13 oz premium vinyl banner is the strongest at its weight in the market. Printed on 1000x1000 denier vinyl, it's waterproof, UV-resistant and rated for 6–12 months of use — lighter to handle than heavier-ounce banners without sacrificing strength. Ideal for indoor use and mild outdoor conditions.
Premium High Definition Vinyl (15 oz)
A heavier, denser vinyl banner material for sharper detail and longer-lasting outdoor durability than our standard 13 oz vinyl banner. The scrim (reinforcing mesh) lines used in construction aren't visible on the print side, which is what gives this material its smooth, polished "high def" finish.
Outdoor/Heavy Duty Vinyl (18 oz)
Our most rugged custom banner material, built for extended outdoor exposure and high-wear installations.
Mesh Vinyl (9 oz)
Perforated mesh banners let wind pass through, reducing tearing and stress on fences, scaffolding and other high-wind outdoor spots.
Vinyl Banner Sizes & Orientation
Order banner online from 1' x 1' up to 9' x 30', including our two most popular sizes: the 3x6 banner and the 4x8 banner. Choose Landscape (horizontal: H x W) or Portrait (vertical: W x H) orientation. Finished 4-foot banners above 4x4 print at 44–46 inches. Finishing Options
- Grommets & Hemming — Heat-welded hems (fused, not sewn, so nothing unravels) with rust-resistant metal grommets for hanging, included at no extra charge.
- Hemming Only — Reinforced heat-welded edges without grommets.
- None — Raw cut edge, no finishing.
- Pole Pockets (optional) — 3" flat pole pockets sized to fit a 1" diameter pole, available on the top, bottom, top & bottom, or both sides.
- Edge Velcro (optional) — Add hook-and-loop fastening along the edge; specify placement in your design instructions.
- Pantone Color Match (optional) — Match a specific Pantone color for brand consistency. Provide your Pantone number in the design instructions.

Artwork & Design
Have print-ready art? Upload it directly during checkout. For the sharpest results, send a vector file (AI, EPS, or PDF) or a high-resolution raster image at 300+ DPI at full print size.
- Recommended formats: PDF, AI (Adobe Illustrator), PSD (Photoshop), JPG, and TIFF — these are the file types our design team can open and adjust fastest.
- Also accepted: EPS and SVG.
- Layered files welcome: send a PSD with layers intact and our design team can work directly in it — swapping a logo, updating text, or changing colors without flattening your file first.
- Vector vs. raster: vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) scale to any size with no loss of quality, which makes them ideal for logos and line art. Raster files (JPG, TIFF, PSD) work great too as long as they are at least 300 DPI at full print size — for example, a 3x6 banner needs a print-ready file that is roughly 10,800 x 21,600 pixels at that resolution.
- Large files: email attachments are capped at 512 MB. For anything bigger, share a Google Drive or WeTransfer link with service@halfpricebanners.com and include your order number in the subject line.

- How long do vinyl banners last?
- Our 13 oz premium vinyl banner is rated for 6–12 months of continuous outdoor use; heavier 15 oz and 18 oz materials hold up longer under sun, wind and rain.
- What's the difference between 13 oz and 15 oz vinyl banners?
- Weight measures the vinyl's density, not automatically its strength. Our 13 oz vinyl banner uses 1000x1000 denier material, making it lighter to handle — especially at large sizes — while still holding up well. The 15 oz Premium HD option adds extra density for sharper fine detail and longer outdoor life.
- Can vinyl banners be used outdoors?
- Yes. Standard 13 oz vinyl is fine for mild outdoor conditions; for extended or harsh outdoor exposure, choose our 18 oz Outdoor/Heavy Duty vinyl, or Mesh Vinyl for high-wind locations.
- Do I need grommets on my custom banner?
- Grommets are the standard way to hang a banner with rope, zip ties or S-hooks, and they're included at no extra charge with our Grommets & Hemming finishing option. If you're mounting to a frame or pole instead, Pole Pockets or Hemming Only may suit you better.
- What are your most popular banner sizes?
- The 3x6 banner and 4x8 banner are our best sellers, though every custom vinyl banner is available from 1' x 1' up to 9' x 30'.
- How accurate is the finished size of my banner?
- Finished dimensions may vary by up to 1 inch on small format banners, or up to 10% on large format banners.
