Outdoor Custom Mesh Banners (9 oz)
Built for the spots where a solid banner fights the wind, our 9 oz mesh vinyl is perforated with small holes that let air pass straight through — cutting down on tearing, billowing and stress on fences, scaffolding, chain-link and other high-wind outdoor mounts. It's light to handle, water- and fade-resistant, and holds up to repeated outdoor exposure.

Finishing Options
- Grommets & Hemming — Heat-welded hems with rust-resistant metal grommets for hanging, included at no extra charge. Grommets are placed 0.5" from the vinyl edge.
- Hemming Only — Reinforced heat-welded edges without grommets.
- None — Raw cut edge, no finishing.
- Webbed Edges (optional) — Reinforced webbing along the border for extra hold in high-wind installations.
- Edge Velcro (optional) — Add hook-and-loop fastening along the edge; specify placement in your design instructions.
- Pole Pockets (optional) — Available on the top, bottom, top & bottom, or both sides.
Safe zone: keep all important artwork, text, and logos at least 1.75" inside the edge on mesh banners so nothing is covered by the grommets.

Starting from scratch or need a template to build to the correct bleed and safe area for your size? Download one from our artwork templates page linked above; we offer sized, print-ready templates with bleed and layout guides built in for every product we sell. Once you order, our design team reviews your artwork and sends a digital proof, typically within 24 hours, with unlimited revisions before anything goes to print. You can also design online using our built-in customizer, or hire one of our designers if you'd rather we build it for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What's the difference between mesh and standard vinyl banners?
- Mesh vinyl is perforated with small holes that let wind pass through, which is what keeps it from tearing or ripping loose on fences, scaffolding and other exposed, high-wind mounts. Standard vinyl is solid and better suited to walls, storefronts and calmer conditions — see our Custom Vinyl Banners for that option.
- Will the holes in a mesh banner affect how my design looks?
- At normal viewing distance the perforations are barely noticeable, and your printed image reads clearly. Up close, you'll see the small holes that let air through — that's what gives mesh its wind resistance.
- Is mesh vinyl good for fences and scaffolding?
- Yes — mesh banners are specifically built for exposed, high-wind mounts like chain-link fences, scaffolding and construction barriers, where a solid banner would catch wind and tear.
- Do I need grommets on my mesh banner?
- Grommets are the standard way to hang a banner with rope, zip ties or S-hooks, and they're included at no extra charge with our Grommets & Hemming finishing option. For extra hold in very high-wind spots, consider adding Webbed Edges or Edge Velcro.
- How accurate is the finished size of my banner?
- Finished dimensions may vary by up to 1 inch on small format banners, or up to 10% on large format banners.
